A CATEGORIA “FAUNA” NO EVANGELHO DE TOMÉ E SEU POTENCIAL ANALÍTICO PARA O TEXTO RELIGIOSO

Resumo

O objetivo deste artigo é descrever a fauna tomesina, estabelecendo uma comparação entre esta e a correlata nos evangelhos sinóticos, para verificar, no tipo de simbologia disponível, seu potencial analítico para o texto religioso, a partir de uma abordagem exploratória. Após uma brevíssima apresentação do Evangelho de Tomé em sua moldura histórico-estrutural, identificamos, classificamos e isolamos as sentenças em que esta fauna aparece, analisando os desafios interpretativos daí decorrentes, detendo-nos naqueles que constam exclusivamente nessa literatura. Nas considerações finais, discutimos a viabilidade do tipo de procedimento aqui utilizado e sua aplicação para estudos em Ciência da Religião.
